My Wicked Dude Mission Statement

My Wicked Dude is a brand of passion and community. Our goal throughout the four seasons is to bring together like-minded people to do amazing things in the outdoors. Like minded people come from all walks of life and our goal is to bring more diversity to that space. We encourage people in and or outside of our community to find your passion which leads to finding your tribe. Like Seth Godin said, A tribe is a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader, and connected to an idea. For millions of years, human beings have been part of one tribe or another. A group needs only two things to be a tribe: a shared interest and a way to communicate. Our shared interest in the outdoors and our way of communicating is sharing those interests to bond and community.

This will create opportunities for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to explore new experiences with like-minded  people in a safe space, connect with nature and tell stories that have been untold. This is the beginning of something new and exciting, we can’t wait to share this experience with you.

Let's find each other and build our community. The Change Collective centers the voices and experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color). Join our community and come ride with us!

    After a thrilling day on the slopes, enjoy the perfect après-ski experience at The Hume Hotel. Start with a drink by the fireplace in the elegant Library Lounge, a beloved local spot in the heart of downtown Nelson. Later, head to Spiritbar, Nelson’s premier nightlife venue, for an evening of live music, dancing, and entertainment. This combination of relaxation and fun makes for an unforgettable après-ski experience.

    Light, casual clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes for walking and beach activities.

    Snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, beach days, and local cultural tours.

  • How do I get to Iceland?
    Participants are responsible for booking their own flights. Transfers from Keflavik International Airport to the villa are included in the package.
  • Are meals included?
    Daily breakfast is included, while other meals can be enjoyed at local restaurants or self-catered. A special send-off dinner is also part of the package.
  • Do I need travel insurance?
    Yes, travel insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended for this trip. It should cover trip cancellations, medical expenses, and adventure activities.
  • What are the activity levels?
    Most activities are moderately challenging, such as glacier hiking and walking. No prior experience is required, but participants should have a reasonable level of fitness.
  • What’s the cancellation policy?
    Cancellations made 60 days before the trip will receive a full refund. After that, a partial refund may apply, depending on the circumstances.
  • What’s the best time to see the Northern Lights?
    The Northern Lights are visible from late September to early April, with the best chances during clear, dark nights.
  • Is there Wi-Fi available?
    Yes, Wi-Fi is available at the villas, so you can stay connected during your stay.
  • What’s the group size?
    We typically host small groups of 8 - 10 people to ensure a personalized experience.
  • Are there accommodations nearby?
    Yes, there are several hotels and accommodations in the Zephyrhills area. We recommend booking early to secure your stay.
  • Will there be activities for kids?
    Yes! In addition to the 1-Mile Fun Run, there will be various activities designed for children, including games, contests, and more.

  • Will food and drinks be available?
    Yes, food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event. Please note that the event is cash-free, so be sure to bring a card for any purchases.
  • Is there a deadline for registration?
    Yes, online registration will close on October 19th. We encourage early registration to ensure your spot and to take advantage of any early-bird discounts.
  • What does the registration fee include?
    The registration fee includes general admission with a digital ticket with a QR code for entry into the event with add ons such as participation in the 5K run or 1-Mile Fun Run, access to all tournaments and activities.
  • Is the event cash-free?
    Yes, this is a cash-free event. All purchases must be made with a credit or debit card.
  • What should I bring on the day of the event?
    Please bring your digital ticket (QR code), a valid ID, and any personal items you may need for the day (e.g., water bottle, sunscreen). Remember, this is a cash-free event, so bring a credit or debit card if you plan on making purchases.
  • Where and when is the event taking place?
    The event will be held on October 26th, 2024 at Skydive City, 4241 Sky Dive Ln, Zephyrhills, FL 33542, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Is parking available at the event?
    Yes, parking is available, but it is limited. We recommend arriving early or considering carpooling. Please note that parking may be subject to a fee.
  • What is the event about?
    The event is an action-packed day featuring a 5K run, a 1-Mile Fun Run for Kids, various tournaments and activities, and an exhilarating skydiving experience. It's a family-friendly event with something for everyone, from competitive runners and skydiving enthusiasts to those just looking for a day of entertainment and outdoor fun.

  • How do I register for the event?
    You can register online through our event page. Simply select the type of ticket you wish to purchase and complete the registration form.
  • Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
    Unfortunately, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds. However, you may transfer your ticket to another person if you are unable to attend.
  • How do I receive my tickets?
    After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with your tickets attached, including a QR code for entry. You can also add the event to your calendar directly from the email.
  • Are kids allowed to participate?
    Yes, we have a 1-Mile Fun Run specifically for kids. Children under 5 can enter the event for free but still need to be registered.
  • Can I bring pets to the event?
    Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at this event, with the exception of service animals.
  • Can I register on the day of the event?
    On-site registration may be available on the day of the event, but we strongly recommend registering in advance to avoid long lines and ensure availability.
  • Can I book a private room?
    There are no private rooms on the bus, as the Commodore bus is a hostel-style setup. Hostels are designed to be social hubs that enable you to have fun with other travelers so you will be sharing a space with others.
  • What gear should I bring?
    There is a complete gear list above. Let us know what you need and we would let you know ahead of time if we can make things easier for you on your trip.
  • Can I (or my partner) come even if we don't surf?
    Although this trip is primarily surf focused, there are plenty of other options for entertainment in Bretagne and the French Coast. Some activities could include but are not limited to visits to a spa, yoga or enjoying the bars and local culture. Please note that outside activities are welcomed, but planning and coordination is the responsibility of the traveler.
  • I am a beginner / intermediate / advanced surfer. Is this trip for me?
    All skill levels are welcome on this trip! Each day, we will select our surf location based on the local reports and group needs. You have the option to stick with the group or surf independently, and we will do all we can to ensure each participant's needs are met.

  • I am a beginner / intermediate / advanced level skier / snowboarder. Will there be terrain for me?
    All levels of skiers and snowboarders are welcome, but this trip will be most appropriate for intermediate or advanced skiers and riders. Everyday on the slopes will be guided, but we will break into groups based on ability level and interest to accommodate everyone.
  • Cancellations or Missed Travel?
    No worries! Contact us to apply your credit to any future trip with available beds for a hassle-free transfer of plans. For further details, please read our "Booking Terms and Conditions"
  • What gear should I bring?

  • How do I book a room with someone I am traveling with?
    Depending on the trip, each suite has two booking options: A "private" booking secures a suite for one person traveling solo while a "shared" booking is for persons who wish to have a roommate. If you are looking to book a shared room, the price is per person. You may purchase two spots at checkout to fill the room with both travelers and reserve the suite, or each traveler may independently purchase their spot under "shared" and leave the name of their desired roommate in the comments at checkout for MWD Staff to coordinate the bookings. Please note that a shared room will have two travelers, so if you select shared but are traveling independently, you will be matched with another solo traveler to share the suite with.
  • Do I need to rent a car?
    Transportation to/from the airport at scheduled times will be provided by MWD along with transport for all group planned activities and is included in the trip package. All participants are welcome to secure their own transportation if desired, but it is not necessary for trip-coordinated events.
  • Can I (or my partner) come even if I don't ski or snowboard?
    Although this trip is primarily ski and snowboard focused, there are plenty of other options for entertainment in town! Some activities could include but are not limited to visits to a spa, yoga or enjoying the bars and local culture. Please note that outside activities are welcomed, but planning and coordination is the responsibility of the traveler.
  • Can I book a private room?
    Depending on the trip, private rooms may or may not be available for all trips and if they are then it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please review the available suites for your trip and select "private" room at checkout if it is available to ensure you are not matched with another solo traveler.
  • Do I need travel insurance?
    It is not required, however we always recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips.     Yes, you are more than welcome to attend events outside the itinerary!   • What if I have dietary restrictions?

    There are golf lessons that are available for newbies. Let us know and we will make the arrangments.
