On August 30th at exactly 6:52 PM, all eyes at Weidner Field turned to the sky. It was Labor Day weekend, the perfect time to celebrate summer one last time and My Wicked Dude delivered a moment the fans will never forget: the first-ever wingsuit jump into a Switchbacks game, period.
Two of our own, Dan Darby and Jesse Weyher, took to the skies for this one. Dan led the wingsuit flight formation, carving a tight, high-energy line through the Colorado air, while Jesse led the canopy pattern with surgical precision. At 7,000 feet above the field, they exited with red and blue smoke trailing from their flight pattern, and opening shortly after with the My Wicked Dude logo stamped boldly on both canopies.
As the crowd roared with excitement, our ground crew popped a smoke canister on the field, adding some dramatic flair and also providing wind direction for the Pilots to give a perfectly timed downwinder approach that brought them in fast, thrilling, and right on target.
The stadium was electric. The Jumbotron lit up with behind-the-scenes footage of the team scouting the stadium just months ago, followed by live edits of the jump in progress. The announcer kept the energy pumping, and the crowd joined to wish a Happy Birthday to Jesse, who celebrated his big day by landing a parachute in the pre activation before the Switchabcks kicked off. Moments later, the skies opened in a heavy downpour—a reminder of how fine the margin was between success and delay. We threaded that needle perfectly.
This wasn’t just a stunt. It was a statement. My Wicked Dude is here to raise the bar for what demo teams can be, pushing limits responsibly, wowing audiences, and inspiring the next generation. The Red Bull Air Force has long set the standard, but as a younger, faster-growing team, we see an opportunity to take that torch and fly even higher.
And this was only the beginning. This demo marks our first outside a My Wicked Dude event, and with the footage captured here, we’re now opening the door to airshows, stadiums, and major events across the country.

The crowd’s cheers, the energy on the field, and the perfect timing of that summer evening right before the rain hit, proved one thing: this is what happens when preparation meets opportunity, and when a team is willing to take a calculated risk for an unforgettable reward.
Oh and the Switchbacks WON!!!!!
